IT HAS COME TO OUR ATTENTION THAT POTENTIAL ADOPTERS ARE AFRAID TO TAKE A MALE KITTEN FOR FEAR OF IT SPRAYING.

IF YOU ADOPT A MALE, JUST HAVE IT NEUTERED AT THE EARLIEST AGE YOUR VET WILL DO IT. IF YOU WAIT UNTIL ITS SEXUALLY MATURE (6 MONTHS) YES, IT MAY START TO SPRAY. NEUTERED MALES WONT SPRAY UNLESS THERE IS A TERRITORIAL BATTLE OR SOME KIND OF UPSET. FEMALES WILL DO THE SAME THING IF THEY ARE UPSET. IVE SEEN A DOMINANT FEMALE BACK UP TO A WALL AND SPRAY. SOME MAY JUST URINATE. BUT ITS USUALLY DUE TO TERRITORY/MATING, AN UPSET OR BLADDER PROBLEMS.

I HAVE AN INTACT MALE IN MY HOME THAT DOES NOT SPRAY. THIS IS MY SECOND NON SPRAYING MALE. PLEASE DONT LET THE FACT THAT ITS A MALE STOP YOU FROM ADOPTING HIM. THEY ARE THE SWEETEST OF ALL.
